When did you join IMET?
I started working for IMET in December 2016. Before joining IMET I was Supply Chain Director at Wyman Gordon a division of Precision Cast Parts Corporation.
What do you do here at IMET? What is your main responsibility?
My main responsibility at IMET is working with customers who generate and/or consume titanium or super alloys revert for the aerospace industry. My goal is to build long-term relationships with the OEMs, Forge Shops, Machine Shops and Titanium and Super Alloy Mills but also the generators, whether that’s the forging houses or the machine shops. Additionally we focus on creating revert management solutions for which maximizes the value of their revert. That’s what defines us.
What do you need to be good at to do your job well? What particular skills and knowledge do you have?
I have spent the majority of my career working in the aerospace industry. This experience has built the foundation necessary to have a deep understanding of the supply chain from the raw material produced at the mill all the way to final machined parts at the OEM. Additionally, building partnerships and deep-rooted relationships with our customers while while making their jobs a bit easier with a completely customized revert management solution.
What problems do you need to overcome as part of your work?
From an organizational perspective, it is a benefit that IMET is a private company which allows us to be a bit more flexible than some of our competitors. IMET has such an experienced team that honestly makes it very easy to overcome any problems that come our way.
How do you know when your work has gone well?
IMET knows our work has gone well as we continue to grow our customer base. This provides IMET with new opportunities to maximize and control the aerospace revert industry. As we develop these relationships we often build upon different segments of their business and work to find innovative solutions that maximize value.
What do you enjoy most about your job and working in this industry?
At IMET, it’s the culture and most importantly the people which I enjoy. The company was built on consistently providing a quality product for our customers. As IMET matures we continue to focus on our quality as one of our top priorities which provides us with a well-respected reputation in the aerospace world.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I am based in Massachusetts and spend as much time as possible on Cape Cod as I really enjoy being at the ocean. And I am happy to say, I love what I do for work.
